We are delighted to announce Dr Chris Soosay has UiH’s new chair trustee. Born in Malaysia, Dr. Soosay is a London based Consultant Psychiatrist and Partner in Dementia Specialists LLP. He completed his undergraduate medical training in the UK and his specialist training in Psychiatry in London. He has over 20 years’ experience of working within the NHS with vast practice in the assessment and treatment of people with Dementia and in providing expert advice for carers. He has held consultant positions in the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust and the West London Mental Health Trust (WLMHT). His expertise is in analysing and finding solutions for complex psychological and behavioural changes in people with Cognitive impairment and Dementia and providing expert advice for carers.
We are also extremely pleased to announce that despite stepping down as chair due to ongoing work commitments Professor Deborah Sturdy will remain an active trustee of our board. We look forward to continuing working together as a team and welcome others wishing to join us in bringing better health care for the world’s most vulnerable.
